GENERAL OBJECTIVES
To promote innovative technologies and research capacities related to the production of hydrogen from marine renewable energies.
To increase technological maturity through the implementation of pilot projects at the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN) for the generation of renewable
hydrogen from seawater.
Accelerate scientific collaboration and data exploitation with Canarian universities and research centres in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands.
Strengthen the capacities of human resources, researchers and technicians.
Validate the use of hydrogen generated in industrial sectors.
To transfer the knowledge acquired to the economic-productive and academic fabric of the islands.
Specific objectives
Training pilots on renewable hydrogen generation and its industrial application
Demonstration and validation of the use of hydrogen in industrial applications
Development of a digital twin of the hydrogen generation plant
Generation, storage and use of renewable hydrogen for the complete decarbonisation of the PLOCAN Offshore Oceanic Platform
Communication, dissemination activities and educational workshops at school level to raise awareness of renewable hydrogen among the Canary Islands society
